Qatar Charity (QC) organized a four-day educational and entertainment camp for a group of orphans, whom it sponsors in Tunisia, during the autumn holidays.

The camp, which was held with the support of sponsors in Qatar in cooperation with the Jendouba Governorate, included cultural and sports activities and visits, during which outstanding students were honored to encourage them to continue following the path of positive behaviors, creativity and academic excellence.

The number of participants in the camp, held at a tourist resort, has reached 35 orphaned boys and girls, aged 9-12 years, belonging to the remote areas of the governorate.

The organizing of the camp came within the framework of QC’s comprehensive care for orphans.

The camp included swimming, water sports, trips to the zoo, the Carthage Land, a water park, Science City, Planetarium, and the Bardo National Museum, and a tour through a tourist train, in addition to other games, cultural competitions and recreational activities.

During the camp, the participants were honored as students making excellent academic achievements and they were given valuable gifts.

The camp has left a good impact on the participating orphans, as it provided them with the opportunity to enhance communication with others, develop their mental and motor capabilities, and improve their general knowledge.

It is worth mentioning that Qatar Charity, through its “Rofaqa” initiative, sponsors more than 157,400 persons, including 2,120 orphans in Tunisia.
