If the shares have been purchase with the intention of capital gain, then Zakat shall be calculate of the prevailing market of the shares. If the shares have been purchase for the purpose of annual dividends and not with the intention of resale, then it is permissible to Pay Zakat only for the money and stock components of the company concerned.
Purification of profits
The profit is obtained through the sale and purchase operations, and this percentage is fixed in the attached table under the title (percentage of profit clearance) , And are calculated as follows: Profit value achieved x Percentage of profit purge.
If the profit is in the form of free shares then the value of each free share shall be calculated on the basis of the nominal value of ten riyals and a half.
The second method is to purify the same arrow annually. We mentioned this method in the attached table (the value of the arrow purification) and is calculated in the light of the following equation: Number of shares x Filter percentage of the stock.
