The tragedy of the Rohingya people is yet to continue, where one (1) million people are now living in temporary shelters across the Bangladesh-Myanmar borders. After escaping unspeakable levels of persecution, the Rohingyan refugees are facing the wrath of nature as the monsoon season hits and it is threatening the lives of thousands of vulnerable people. Aid agencies estimate that 100,000 people are at severe risk of being flooded, while basic services are expected to drop, 32% of health facilities could be lost, while a quarter of the nutrition centers are threatened, leaving the lives of more than 60,000 pregnant women and their yet to be born babies at a risk of a horrific malnutrition.
The Rohingyan nightmare will not only stop when overcoming and surviving the monsoon. The desperate situation goes back for months, the overcrowded shelters, the contaminated water, the lack of sanitary system and the urgent need for medical assistance.
Join our convoys of hope this Eid Al Adha and stand for the persecuted Rohingya. Please donate to improve their situation and walk them through these tough times.
