Students of Qatar Academy Msheireb donate school bags to Qatar Charity

As part of the continued implementation of its campaign “With Education, I Can”, Qatar Charity received new school bags equipped with all the necessary school supplies and stationery from students of Qatar Academy - Msheireb, to be distributed to orphans and children from limited-income families within the State of Qatar.

The students of Qatar Academy - Msheireb, represented by the Islamic Education Department, provided these in-kind donations, which include about 150 school bags with the necessary supplies, with the aim of enhancing community solidarity and supporting children of limited income with school supplies that will help them achieve better academic performance.

Instilling the values of giving

On this occasion, Ms. Lama Al-Kalash, Assistant Director of Qatar Academy - Msheireb, said: This initiative, which comes for the second year, falls within the framework of our interest in instilling Islamic values, including empathy, cooperation, and love of goodness for others, in the hearts of our students, and aims to accustom the children to Extending a helping hand and helping students who need school bags.”

She also noted that the initiative was implemented in cooperation with parents and contributed to creating a spirit of competition among students in the field of charitable work, noting that the idea of the initiative came from one of the students of Msheireb Academy at the beginning of the academic year. Al-Kalash also praised Qatar's charity efforts, saying: Qatar Charity is one of the institutions that represents the State of Qatar in charitable work in a distinguished way.

Mr. Farid Khalil Al-Siddiqi, Head of the Local Projects Department at Qatar Charity, extended his sincere thanks and gratitude to the students of Qatar Academy - Msheireb and those in charge of it for providing school bags and supplies, noting that they will be distributed to children with limited income. He also added that Qatar Charity has launched a campaign “With education, I can” which provides tools, expenses, and education fees for eligible students inside and outside the State of Qatar.

He also expressed his hope that other schools would implement such initiatives to help orphans and children from low-income families, noting that Qatar Charity had begun paying tuition fees for orphan students, as it recently distributed school bags with stationery to students with limited income from The Syrian community in the State of Qatar, in addition to students from Al-Salam schools in cooperation with the municipality of Al-Rayyan.

Feeling happy

For their part, the participating children from Qatar Academy - Msheireb expressed their happiness in participating in this initiative, as student Ali Abdullah Al-Muhannadi - fifth grade said: Through this initiative, we sympathized with students from low-income families, noting that participating in the initiative It gives us a feeling of joy and happiness; Because we helped others.”
