Qatar Charity continues to embody the values of social solidarity and international cooperation by implementing a series of humanitarian projects aimed at the neediest groups around the world. Through its Ramadan campaign "Giving Lives On," food assistance was distributed to needy families in Tunisia and Mali, including orphans and people with disabilities. The campaign seeks to extend a helping hand to those in need, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan.
Distribution of Food Baskets in Tunisia
In Tunisia, and through a strategic partnership with local authorities and official bodies, Qatar Charity continued its humanitarian efforts by distributing 500 food baskets in the Ben Arous Governorate, containing general food items. This project was funded by the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Tunisia and supervised and organized by Qatar Charity in cooperation with the Tunisian Union for Social Solidarity.
On this occasion, the Consul General delivered a speech in which he praised the brotherly relations between Qatar and Tunisia, commending Qatar Charity's efforts in supporting social initiatives and calling for further assistance. He expressed the Embassy's readiness to continue supporting the needy in partnership with the Tunisian authorities.
For his part, the Governor of Ben Arous expressed his gratitude to the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Tunisia and Qatar Charity for their support in assisting the state's social efforts, highlighting the strong bond between the two peoples.
Humanitarian Assistance in Mali
In Mali, Qatar Charity carried out its "Iftar for the Fasting" project, distributing about 813 food baskets benefiting 4,065 people from orphans, needy families, and people with disabilities under its care in the capital, Bamako, and its suburbs. This initiative contributes to easing the financial burdens on these families and promoting social solidarity.
This initiative is part of Qatar Charity's ongoing commitment to meet the needs of its sponsored groups and alleviate their hardships, especially during the month of Ramadan. The distributed food baskets included essential items such as rice, pasta, sugar, oil, and powdered milk, in quantities sufficient to meet the needs of the beneficiary families throughout the holy month, aligning with its efforts to promote values of solidarity and social welfare.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude and pride in receiving this generous aid. Sidi Koni, a beneficiary from the people with disabilities group, said, "We thank Qatar Charity and the Qatari people for their continuous support to the needy and people with disabilities, especially during this blessed month."
Furthermore, Kaku Bagayogo, a member of the beneficiary families, expressed his happiness with the food basket, stating that they had been eagerly awaiting it, as Qatar Charity had accustomed them to. He added, "These aids strengthen the bonds of love, unity, and solidarity among Muslims around the world."

It is worth noting that Qatar Charity launched its Ramadan campaign "Giving Lives On " for the current season 1446 AH – 2025 AD, which is expected to be implemented with the support of philanthropists in 40 countries around the world, including Qatar. The campaign aims to benefit 4.5 million people in need.
Through the campaign, seasonal projects such as Iftar for the fasting, Zakat al-Fitr, and Eid clothes will be implemented, along with a series of high-quality development projects.
