Qatar Charity International Workflow around the globe – Where we work
Where We work
Through its 30 field offices, Qatar Charity works closely with communities affected by disasters and crises to effectively assess their needs in order to provide effective development interventions and humanitarian response. A local presence allows a more coordinated, integrated and timely response. Communication, participation and listening are essential to center the humanitarian response around the beneficiaries and amplify their voices to the international community. This direct interaction with beneficiaries also gives Qatar Charity the ability to mobilize support for them, in addition to ensuring that aid reaches them with the best financial and operational efficiency.
Geographically, Qatar charity’s work expands through 30 countries with direct implementation capacity and 20 others through implementing partners, bringing the geographical reach to more than 50 countries in Africa, Asia and in the Middle East.
Qatar Charity identifies these countries on the basis of objective and transparent criteria, including the need for assistance based on development and humanitarian indicators, access to beneficiaries, opportunities for partnership and cooperation in the humanitarian and development fields, the local governments’ openness to international aid, and the legislative environment for NGOs in the country.
Qatar Charity also holds strategic dialogues with international partners, namely UN agencies such as UNICEF, UNHCR, UNRWA and IOM , to identify priority countries where Qatar Charity’s contributions can have a direct, considerable impact on distressed populations.
Qatar Charity aligns its interventions and projects with the national development strategies of the countries where it works. In the field of humanitarian assistance, Qatar Charity provides its assistance in accordance with the national emergency humanitarian response plans.
