About the campaign

Deficit, desperation and under-siege are words that have become an embedded and dominating aspect of life in the Gaza strip. For more than a decade of sea and air blockade, the Palestinians living in Gaza have endured some severe escalations that stifled economic growth, paralysed infrastructure and taken away any possible options for a better life.

Life in Gaza is marked by deficiency and shortage, and it is getting worse by the second. Power scarcity, unemployment, decimated health care system, school dropouts, polluted water and hunger top a bottomless list of issues that Gazans have to endure on a daily basis. “Gaza is becoming an unavoidable humanitarian disaster,” said some UN officials.
