Expat communities attend QC’s Moaayashah programme

Qatar Charity has organized Moaayashah (Coexistence) programme aimed at introducing customs and traditions of Muslims in Ramadan to non-Muslims. People belonging to Indian, Nepali and Filipino communities residing in Qatar, participated in the programme.

The programme also included an Iftar party held in Souq Waqif, then visiting the Majlis of Mohammed Al Jaber, listening to the sermon delivered by Mohammed Al Anzi and attending Ramadan Ghabqa event.

The programme is also aimed at promoting social solidarity and cultural rapprochement between the local community and the expatriate communities in Qatar. It also introduces the culture and tradition of Qatar, customs and traditions of Muslims in Ramadan in addition to introducing QC's activities in and outside the country.

The guests emphasized that the activities of the program left them with a deep sense of understanding. They also expressed their pleasure in attending the collective Iftar tables, pointing out that Qatar Charity has shown them an important aspect of the Muslim personality, Qatari culture, and the spirit of love and peace that prevail among all elements of Qatari society.

In the same context, Qatar Charity also organized an Iftar for non-Muslim women, who came to know Qatari customs and traditions as well as they knew what the Holy Month of Ramadan means to Muslims and what distinguishes it from the rest of the year.
