Qatar Charity hosts Ramadan Ghabga for “Future’s Leaders”

Qatar Charity (QC) hosted a Ramadan Ghabga for the sponsored under its ‘Future’s Leaders’ program, in the presence of its CEO, Mr. Yousuf bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, many official of Qatar Charity, the sponsored and their families, and media persons. The event came to promote the values of solidarity and compassion in the holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Faisal Rashid al-Fehaida, CEO's assistant for the Programs and Community Development sector at Qatar Charity welcomed both male and female ‘Future’s Leaders’ and the participants from the Awsaj Academy in the activity. He considered that this event is an opportunity to renew communication with those sponsored by Qatar Charity within Qatar and provide a Ramadan atmosphere to them to meet each other.

He said that the ‘Future’s Leaders’ program is the result of Qatar Charity’s ‘Rofaqa’ initiative and its pioneering role in comprehensive social care. “We are proud of our sons and daughters who are doing well behaviorally and academically under the umbrella of this program,” noted al-Fehaida.

At the end of his speech, he called the attendees for spending the remaining days of the holy month in doing good to leave a good impact on themselves and others who need a helping hand.

The Assistant Principal of Awsaj Academy, Haia Alnaime, during her speech at the ceremony, expressed her happiness with the participation of the students of the academy in the event. She emphasized the importance of this program and initiatives for community members.

“Such programs give our students the opportunity to share their distinctive and diverse talents,” Alnaime said.  "At Awsaj Academy, we are keen to instill in students respect for Qatari heritage and strong Islamic principles to ensure that they succeed, join the labor market, and integrate with society,” Alnaime added.

The Ghabga event included a variety of activities and Ramadan-related traditional performances carried out by children and students of Awsaj Academy, in addition to a competition for children and a tradition way to wake up people to have sahour. The event also included a poem in praise of Prophet Muhammad -peace be upon him- and lecture on the virtue of the last ten days of Ramadan.

The attendees expressed their happiness with the event and enjoyed the performances. Yousef Hassan, a student, said that he feels proud to participate in this event, which instills many values in children.

For her part, Umm Muhammad thanked sponsors and Qatar Charity for supporting the sponsored ‘Future’s Leaders’ and said her four children, who are sponsored by Qatar Charity for 4 years, receive all the attention and care and it meets their needs.

Umm Mishaal thanked Qatar Charity for its support and care for her children for years, indicating that it honors them when they excel in their studies.
