An Open Day for Qatar Charity’s Orphans in Indonesia

Qatar charity organized an open day for the orphans it Sponsors in Indonesia. It took place in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, and included some regular checkups and recreational activities benefiting 311 orphans and 70 of their guardians.

The checkups included measurement of blood pressure, internal examination, hepatitis diagnosis, and blood tests. After that, it was time for having fun.

Those activities were a part of taking the orphans into long-term care concerning health, education, sports, and social life. The orphans felt a glow of happiness as they took part in the open day in a way that gave their guardians a lot of comfort.

Safe and sound

Mr. Karam Zainhom, QC’s office director in Indonesia, emphasized that the orphans’ interest is constantly going to be QC’s main concern, adding that such checkups make those who take advantage of them feel secure. They also lift the financial burdens that the families cannot afford.

Noting it was the first time to have her child attending this kind of activities and programs, Bayou Fracoso’s mom said, “This fresh initiative implemented by QC for the sake of the sponsored orphans gave the orphans’ guardians such a great pleasure and put them at ease regarding their children’s health."

Besides, she stressed on the significance of the lecture which was delivered to the orphans and their mothers about religion and healthو and during which they were urged for Hygiene and Health Care. One more important thing was distributing toiletries to the orphans after conducting the medical examinations. That is to say, it ensured safety for them all.

Generous people

Salah ad-Din’s grandfather illustrated that QC is really interested in what benefits orphans as it undertakes to look after their health and lighten the burdens of their guardians who often find difficulty in conducting such medical examinations for orphans due to not having enough money in addition to facing hardship in movement in the capital which suffers from a large number of people flocking to medical services.

Extending his thanks to the benefactors in Qatar for being the reason behind pleasing the orphans in Indonesia, he further confirmed that QC is used to offering essential services for orphans, and looking after them without letting them feel that one of their parents is no longer there.  Such humanitarian attitudes are a considerable evidence that the people of Qatar are most generous and altruistic.

For his part, the doctor Willie, who was one of the participants in conducting the medical examinations for QC’s orphans, asserted he had absolute serenity while taking part in that humanitarian activity. He continued, “My participation in this outstanding work has given me a sense of tranquility and happiness, because I am sure that God will generously reward me for applying the knowledge he granted me for the advantage of orphans and the ones who are weak.”

Fun time

Believing it is not an opportunity to miss, Rabi'a al-'Adawiyya, one of the orphans who has benefited from the checkups, mentioned that she rushed after going back from school to join the open day in order to set her mind at rest concerning her health.

“I was very glad about the clown show, and my mother looked very happy after she had been able to conduct checkups. Thanks for everyone who has contributed to it”, the orphan Risky Wahiody expressed his appreciation.
