Qatar Charity (QC) continues to organize an Iftar table in Al Hilal, one of 40 Iftar tables for this Ramadan organized by Qatar Charity across Qatar.

This comes as part of Qatar Charity’s ‘Ramadan: Leave Your Mark’ campaign and within the framework of the ‘Feed the Fasting’ project.

Nearly 5 000 workers and bachelors break their fast daily at the Iftar table in Al Hilal.

Mr. Osama Al-Abdullah, the supervisor of the Iftar table, said that Qatar Charity strives to reach the largest number of targeted workers and bachelors in this area.

He added that the Iftar table of Al Hilal is one of the important Iftar tables that Qatar Charity is keen to continue to hold every year, noting an air-conditioned tent has been set up for 500 fasting people to ensure their comfort.

He explained that a sermon is delivered in an Asian language before Iftar, indicating that each fasting person receive an Iftar meal.

Mr. Muhammad Salman, an Islamic preacher, delivered a lecture in Urdu on the virtues of Ramadan, highlighting importance of fasting and the rewards a fasting person receives from Almighty Allah. He said that one must fast for the sake of Allah only, because he is the One, who will reward and honor him on the Day of Resurrection.

The beneficiaries appreciated the role of Qatar Charity in providing them with Iftar meals.

Mr. Hisham, a beneficiary of the Iftar table in Al Hilal, thanked Qatar Charity for its humanitarian role and its keenness to hold the Ramadan Iftar tent that receives more than 500 fasting persons daily.

Mohammed Sihan praised Qatar Charity’s efforts in providing Iftar meals to the fasting people, noting that Iftar meals are provided in the well-organized tent, thanking the benefactors and Qatar Charity for implementing the Iftar program for workers and bachelors.
