Qatar Charity (QC) obtained ISO certificates from Bureau Veritas in five management areas, which are Quality, Information Security, Risk, Compliance, and Customer Service Call Center.
This came as a result of the keenness and directives of the Board of Directors of Qatar Charity and the continuous efforts of its executive body to continuously improve and enhance to envision future prospects by implementing an integrated management system, which involves adhering to the management systems set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and other internationally recognized management systems with approved global specifications and standards. This helps Qatar Charity elevate the quality, enhance performance, achieve goals, and keep pace with current developments.
Continuing Innovation
Mr. Mohamed Al Ghamdi, CEO’s Assistant for the Governance Sector at Qatar Charity, said that Qatar Charity has achieved an unprecedented milestone, reflecting its commitment to achieving the highest levels of governance, quality, and security in all areas of its work. He added Charity has become one of the first non-governmental international organizations in the Arab world to obtain five ISO certificates in distinguished and unique fields. He indicated that the selection of these fields was carefully made to support Qatar Charity's integrated management system, enhance its good governance, ensure its compliance with laws and regulations, protect its information from cyber threats, maintain the privacy of all stakeholders, reach advanced levels of customer satisfaction, and meet the expectations of stakeholders. He mentioned that this underscores its prestigious position as one of the few organizations to accomplish this unique achievement.
Al Ghamdi emphasized that this outstanding achievement is the result of the concerted and integrated efforts of the various sectors within the organization, and their commitment to delivering humanitarian and developmental services with high efficiency in accordance with the best international standards. He stated, "Achieving these milestones reflects our dedication to improving performance, ensuring compliance, information security, and achieving the highest quality standards for programs, projects, and activities." He noted, "We are committed to excellence in every aspect of our work, and these certifications reflect our success in achieving that commitment, serving as an incentive to continue innovating and developing our humanitarian and developmental activities, and constitute a significant step towards enhancing our ability to make a positive impact on our community and the communities in which we operate.
Information Security Management
The five certificates awarded to Qatar Charity signify its readiness to achieve excellence and distinction in various areas that impact administration, security, quality, risk management, and the enhancement of compliance, as well as the satisfaction and aspirations of donors. The ISO certification in Information Security Management Systems 27001:2022 reflects its strong commitment to information security, protection from cyber threats, and privacy protection. This certification affirms its adoption of best practices in data protection, and the latest electronic systems.
The ISO 27001 certification in Information Security Management Systems contributes to Qatar Charity’s obtaining a comprehensive system for protecting data from various threats. This system not only safeguards the reputation of Qatar Charity but also increases the trust of clients and stakeholders.
Risk Management
By obtaining the ISO 31000:2018 certification in Risk Management System, Qatar Charity provides itself with a unique opportunity to manage and evaluate diverse risks. This encompasses legal and environmental risks, as well as strategic risks, governance risks, corruption and fraud risks, and other risks,
The ISO 31000 Risk Management System is a standard used to identify and assess risks, in terms of the volume of the impact as well as the strategy that will be followed to manage risks and follow up on imminent threats. This falls in line with the objectives of Qatar Charity and the senior management to maintain business continuity and avoid sudden events that could lead to the cessation of the organization's operations.
Compliance Management
By obtaining the ISO 37301:2021 certification in Compliance Management System, Qatar Charity strengthens its link to sound governance, integrity, and quality in achieving compliance with laws and regulations, both within Qatar and in the countries where it operates. This underscores the dedication to persistently building a strong compliance system within Qatar Charity.
The ISO 37301 Compliance Management System confirms that Qatar Charity operates in accordance with all laws, regulations, and codes of conduct, both within the state of Qatar and internationally. It enables the identification of relevant documents to ensure compliance and to track and enhance compliance effectively.
Quality Management
Qatar Charity has obtained the ISO 9001:2015 certification in the Quality Management System. The ISO 18295-1 certification for Customer Service Call Center Management System represents a set of internationally recognized standards and guidelines. Its purpose is to make customer service call centers more efficient and reduce the risks of customer complaints to provide better customer service and improve the quality of services.
