As temperatures continue to drop in winter, Qatar Charity (QC) has invited the public, students, and media to visit an exhibition named ‘Daththirooni’, which literally means ‘Cover me with a Garment’. Organized in partnership with Al Hazm Mall, the event is part of Qatar Charity’s “How Long?” winter campaign to support vulnerable families struggling to stay warm during the harsh winter months around the world.
Interactive Experience
The exhibition began on Wednesday at Al Hazm Hall in Al Hazm Mall and will run until February 15, welcoming visitors daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
The ‘Daththirooni’ exhibition is an engaging and interactive experience that helps visitors understand the challenges faced by the most vulnerable groups during winter in the most affected regions. It highlights the realities of homelessness, displacement, refuge, and hunger—where the vulnerable struggle against the cold without shelter, food, or warmth. The exhibition provides an opportunity to the visitors to offer support and help ensure a dignified life for those in need.
Walkthrough
One of the exhibition’s highlights is a massive blanket symbolizing warmth, protection, and security, where visitors can take photos. The exhibition also features a walkthrough experience that vividly portrays the harsh winter challenges faced by vulnerable communities, showing their struggles with the lack of food, medicine, safe shelter, and necessities.
The "Daththirooni" exhibition offers a unique interactive experience, taking visitors on a humanitarian journey that reflects the suffering of those affected by the bitter winter cold. The exhibition includes several sections, each depicting a realistic scene of the suffering of the most affected groups. The journey begins with the suffering of camp residents, including internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees living in tents that lack even the most basic elements of warmth. The exhibition also highlights the situation of Syrians released from prisons, who find themselves without shelter or support after years of detention. Moreover, the exhibition includes a section dedicated to highlighting the suffering of the people in Gaza, where a visitor sees homes completely destroyed as a result of aggression, reflecting the magnitude of the tragedy experienced by the residents in the harsh cold. Through these interactive sections, the exhibition aims to inspire visitors to empathize with those affected and support humanitarian relief efforts.
Qatar Charity expressed its gratitude to Al Hazm Mall for supporting Qatar Charity’s events and campaigns, including this exhibition. The organization urged families, students, and the public to visit the exhibition, which is designed to support those in need—especially in crisis-hit regions. Through this initiative, Qatar Charity aims to send a message of solidarity, sympathy, and human fraternity.
