Eye Camps
it is approximated that 285 million people across the globe are visually impaired or having vision problems, many of whom are children and vulnerable groups in society such as women and older people. Common vision problems that can be easily treated may lead to blindness if they are not properly addressed under medical supervision.
Poverty and blindness are closely correlated since one leads to another, where poverty predisposing to blindness and blindness exacerbating poverty by limiting chances of employment, financial growth, and the ability to pay medical bills. Most blind people are unemployed and do not have a stable monthly income.Visual impairment and blindness are quite common amongst vulnerable groups, a recent study conducted in Pakistan has shown that the prevalence of poverty is three times higher amongst poor people than any other social class due to the lack medical assistance, awareness about eye health and ability to pay medical bills. Stand for people with visual impairment and please donate to organize Eye camps in impoverished societies and vulnerable communities, which are also eligible recipients for Zakat since they are poor(Foqaraa) and Vulnerable(Masakeen). Please pay your Zakat here.
