Qatar Charity distributes food packages to coronavirus-hit expatriate families in Doha and Al Khor

Qatar Charity (QC) distributed food baskets among 310 expatriate families affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in Doha and Al Khor, in cooperation with the Qatar Football Association (QFA), CINI Solutions for Business and Trading, and SIEMENS ENERGY WLL, and with the participation of a good number of volunteers.

In Al Khor, food baskets and meat were distributed to 110 various expatriate families affected by the coronavirus pandemic, in cooperation with CINI Solutions for Business and Trading, which contributed to providing foodstuffs, while a philanthropist provided meat.

Qatar Charity expresses its appreciation to the bodies and companies that have contributed to the distribution of food baskets to the coronavirus-hit families in Al Khor, indicating that it follows precautionary measures while distributing food packages in light of the continuing pandemic.

Qatar Charity urges all, both individuals and companies, to support its projects and programs for the benefit of families with limited income.

Besides, food baskets were distributed to 200 various expatriate families in Doha, in cooperation with QFA and SIEMENS ENERGY WLL. QFA provided sports clothes and toys, while SIEMENS ENERGY WLL donated foodstuffs.

Mr. Jaseem Mohamed, business development manager at SIEMENS ENERGY WLL, said, “Our donation comes as part of ‘Be Generous’, an internal campaign to encourage the employees to contribute to providing food items for those hit by the coronavirus pandemic in the country.” He also added that the local community deserves to be supported most, indicating that the company wants to pay back to the society of the country where it runs its business, especially in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
