Qatar Charity provided 50 wheelchairs to Hamad Medical Corporation to transport patients to support the Foundation's efforts to provide health services.

The handing over of these chairs by Qatar Charity comes within the framework of the joint social responsibility among the state institutions to achieve the Qatar Vision 2030 and to embody the partnership in supporting the development process, which Qatar Charity attaches great importance.

The chairs were handed over by Mr. Faisal bin Rashid Al Fahida, Assistant CEO of Programs and Community Development Sector at Qatar Charity, to Mr. Hamad Al Khalifa, Head of Facilities Development at Hamad Medical and Head of Business Services.

Roles integration

During the handover ceremony, Mr. Faisal Rashid Al-Fahida expressed his thanks to Hamad Medical Corporation and those in charge of it for their efforts in community service and their sincere cooperation with Qatar Charity.

He said: Qatar Charity's donation confirms its belief in the necessity of concerted efforts and integration of roles between civil society organizations, humanitarian institutions, and service bodies, and falls within the framework of the cooperation between Qatar Charity and Hamad Medical through the implementation of activities and programs in humanitarian fields to serve the community.

He praised the important role played by the Foundation in terms of health care for patients, medical care, and providing distinguished services to the society, worthy of thanks and gratitude. In the local community, and in continuation of charitable projects that contribute to alleviating the suffering of millions of the poor and needy in the world.

Improve services

For his part, Mr. Hamad Al Khalifa, Head of Facilities Development at Hamad Medical Corporation and Head of Business Services, said: “Hamad Medical Corporation appreciates Qatar Charity’s donation of the second batch of wheelchairs to serve patients and visitors.

Qatar Charity signed a memorandum of understanding with Hamad Medical Corporation to support activities and projects for patients to enhance their confidence in the medical services

 and to support disease and treatment cases, in addition to implementing joint programs and events that serve the objectives of both parties and supporting some of the activities of the Center for the Experience and Participation of Patients and Employees with a societal dimension.
