Qatar Charity (QC) has started distributing Eid clothes to the sponsored orphans in 40 countries, including Yemen and Pakistan, to share the joy of Eid al-Fitr with them and reduce the burden on their parents.
Yemen
Eid clothes were distributed to 120 children in Yemen’s Sana'a where the underprivileged communities are going through a challenging condition.
The distribution of the Eid clothes has drawn a smile on the faces of the children, and removed the worries of many families who were unable to provide Eid clothes for their orphaned children.
Osama, a 7-year-old boy, expressed his delight with receiving new clothes for Eid, and said that this Eid will be the best one for him because of these new clothes. “This Eid, I will be the most beautiful girl in my new clothes,” said Ryan, an 8-year-old girl.
Pakistan
In Pakistan, the Eid clothes were distributed to 300 orphans in Rawalpindi district in the Punjab province of Pakistan. "I am is very happy with these new clothes,” said 12-year-old Fahd Shabeer, thanking the benefactors in Qatar for providing the clothes.
The ‘Eid Clothing’ project is annually implemented by Qatar Charity before Eid al-Fitr. The project aims to benefit approximately 6,000 sponsored orphans in 39 countries around the world, and nearly 900 children in Qatar.
Qatar Charity urges benefactors to take advantage of the few remaining days of Ramadan by supporting the ‘Eid Clothing’ and ‘Eid Gift’ projects to draw a smile on the faces of target beneficiaries. QR 200 can be donated for Eid clothing through the link (qch.qa/kswa).
