Burkina Faso's Minister of Foreign Affairs praises Qatar Charity’s projects

Burkina Faso's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olivia Rouamba, praised Qatar Charity’s efforts in helping those in need in the country, affirming her readiness to provide all the necessary facilities to Qatar Charity for implementing projects in the country.

This came during a visit paid by Mr. Nawaf Abdullah al-HammadiCEO's assistant for the International Operations and Programs sector at Qatar Charity, to Burkina Faso where he visited many projects of Qatar Charity, learnt about the volume of work, and assessed the developmental and humanitarian needs that should be met.

During his visit, Al Hammadi met with many ministers, local officials, and the representatives of civil society associations and humanitarian organizations.

During his meeting with Burkina Faso's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olivia Rouamba, Al Hammadi discussed the humanitarian situation in Burkina Faso, and cooperation in issues of mutual interest, affirming Qatar Charity's readiness to enhance cooperation, implement charitable projects, and support humanitarian efforts and activities in Burkina Faso.

Burkina Faso’s Minister of Foreign Affairs praised Qatar Charity's efforts and vital projects in support of the needy, underscoring her country's willingness to provide all necessary facilities to Qatar Charity for its humanitarian mission of helping the poor and contributing to community development in Burkina Faso.

He also met with the interim president of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), and discussed how to consolidate partnership and cooperation between Qatar Charity and UEMOA. At the end of the meeting, the two parties agreed to expand their cooperation to include various humanitarian sectors to serve mutual goals and coordinate humanitarian efforts for the benefit of the needy and marginalized.

Besides, Al Hammadi met with Minister of National Education and LiteracyLionel Bilgo, and discussed ways to renew the memorandum of understanding previously signed with the Ministry with the aim of implementing projects in the field of education.

Al Hammadi concluded his tour by visiting many families of orphans sponsored by Qatar Charity in the capital, Ouagadougou. He also visited some completed construction projects. The number of those sponsored by Qatar Charity in Burkina Faso has reached more than 5900. The sponsored are poor families, orphans, students, and people with special needs.
