Qatar Charity (QC) continues to distribute thousands of food packages donated by more than 40 schools at the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, in addition to Qatar Academy. This comes to serve the local community.
School students participated in the distribution of 3,436 food packages, which were donated by various primary, preparatory, and secondary schools, to low-income families, workers, and others.
This initiative comes from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to promote noble values and solidarity among students, contribute to alleviating the suffering of those with limited income by meeting their needs during the holy month, teach the students the importance of charitable and voluntary work, and support Qatar Charity’s ‘Ramadan: Leave Your Mark’ campaign.
Besides, Qatar Academy’s students donated and distributed 1,000 food packages, along with Qatar Charity’s staff and volunteers.
It is worth mentioning that Qatar Academy implements this project annually during Ramadan to encourage its students to voluntarily participate in the community service and carry out humanitarian and charitable work.
The packages include basic food items that help low-income families fast in this holy month.
Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Hajri, Director of the Programs and Community Development at Qatar Charity, thanked the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the schools, and Qatar Academy for their donation and support for this project, which helps many low-income families during the holy month.
He urged all agencies and companies to continue their support for Qatar Charity’s Ramadan projects, which are being implemented in and outside Qatar.
