In conjunction with the continuation of its "50,000 Lives" campaign in favor of treating needy patients around the world, Qatar Charity continues to implement the emergency health assistance project for low-income patients. The medical intervention recently included several cardiac catheterizations, correction of congenital heart defects in children, and treatment of cancer patients.
Since the beginning of the project in 2022, 89 heart surgeries, 28 general surgeries, 11 orthopedic surgeries, 10 kidney surgeries, 14 medical devices were provided, as the project sponsored 164 patients.
Qatar Charity's intervention in the medical field in Yemen comes at a time when health institutions are suffering from several challenges due to a shortage of staff, lack of energy and necessary funding, in addition to the lack of necessary medicines and medical equipment.

The beneficiaries expressed their happiness with the health services provided by Qatar Charity after a long wait and long suffering with the disease.
The father of the child, Alia, who has been suffering from a tumor in the chest for two years, says: "I could not provide any money to treat my daughter, whose condition was getting worse day by day. The intervention of Qatar Charity was a lifeline for us. They provided the necessary treatment for my daughter, and I was pleased with their elegant treatment with us."
Afrah Al-Thulaya is a woman who suffers from heart disease for seven years and was asked to undergo surgery, but due to her difficult financial conditions, she stopped treatment and said: “I endured the disease and pain for a long time, and I was very happy to provide me with treatment from Qatar Charity, which brought me out of the despair that surrounded me, so may God reward you Good people in Qatar, because you were the reason for saving my life and alleviating my suffering from the disease.
It is worth noting that, within the framework of Qatar Charity's interest in the health field, and in affirmation of its role in supporting health facilities, it has presented several health projects in order to ensure the provision of health services in densely populated areas with displaced persons and the host community suffering from poverty. Among these projects is the distribution of medicines and medical supplies in cooperation with OCHA in each of Hajjah and Al-Hodeidah governorates benefited 21,000 displaced people and the host community.
