His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani, Minister of State and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Charity, opened the new headquarters of the Qatar Charity office in Mauritania, in the presence of Mr. Fahd Salem Al-Dosari, Charge d’affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Nouakchott, and Mr. Turki Muhammad Turki Al-Subaie, General Supervisor of the Qatar Charity office in Mauritania.

After the opening, His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Charity, held a working session with the office’s employees, during which the office’s work plan for 2024-2025 and the prospects for Qatar Charity’s humanitarian work in Mauritania were reviewed, and available opportunities were discussed.

During his current visit to Mauritania, His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani also visited some civil society associations, where he visited the headquarters of the Ethar Charity Association for Cancer Patients in Mauritania, during which he was briefed on the activities of the associations, including the construction progress of the Ethar Health Hospital affiliated with the Ethar Association and listened to explanations provided by those in charge of the association before listening to their requests, which represented cooperation in building, equipping, and operating the Ethar Health Hospital, which specializes in treating cancerous diseases in Mauritania and other matters related to the work of the hospital.

At the end of the visit, Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser Al Thani expressed his pleasure in meeting those in charge of it, wishing the Ethar Association success in its work and welcoming the extension of a helping hand to it through Qatar Charity.
