Qatar Charity honored the winners of the "Initiatives Challenge 5" program.

 "Izdihar", the initiative, and volunteer incubator of Qatar Charity, recognized the winning community initiatives in the fifth edition of the "Initiatives Challenge" program, launched during the holy month of Ramadan. The event aimed to appreciate their efforts and acknowledge their volunteer roles, as well as honor the members of the judging committee, supporting bodies, mentors, and the work team.

The "Awareness Club for Special Education" claimed first place with their project "We are happy with their happiness". The "180° Together Towards Change Initiative" secured second place with "Goodness Has Faces", while the "Otype Initiative" took third place with "In Return of the Favor".

In his opening speech, Mr. Farid Khalil Siddiqui, Head of the Local Projects Department at Qatar Charity, stated, "This honor marks the culmination of the challenge's objective, fostering competition among participating initiatives to offer the best programs serving our community, based on performance quality standards and anticipated impact." He noted that the fifth edition of the "Initiatives Challenge" attracted 18 initiatives, with 15 successfully completing the challenge.

Mr. Siddiqui extended congratulations to the top three initiatives and all participants, thanking program partners, the judging committee, and the work team for their collaboration in ensuring the success of this edition. He expressed hope that the program would continue to attract more community initiatives to further enhance its impact and achievements.

During her address at the ceremony, Mrs. Aisha Al-Muhannadi, a member of the judging committee, conveyed deep appreciation for the efforts of participating teams and their high-quality execution, which made the evaluation process challenging for the committee. She congratulated the winners and expressed hope that they would continue innovating in future editions of the "Initiatives Challenge".

The closing ceremony was attended by prominent figures in volunteer and community work, including Dr. Youssef Al-Kadhim, President of the Arab Federation for Voluntary Activities

, Mr. Abdullah Hamid Al-Mulla from Qatar University's Student Activities Department, and Mrs. Fatima Al-Emadi, Director of the Student Leadership and Community Service Department, along with Mr. Yasser Al-Qawasmi, Head of the Student Clubs Department at Qatar University.

The ceremony was organized in collaboration with several companies, including Choco Mine, FNP, and SOLO coffee.

The winning initiatives covered diverse fields. For instance, the "Awareness Club for Special Education" focused on "We are happy with their happiness", aiming to create a joyful Ramadan atmosphere for people with disabilities through field visits and activities highlighting religious and social values.

The "180° Together Towards Change Initiative" addressed "Goodness Has Faces", targeting debtors and their families with a fundraising race, proceeds of which supported debt relief and awareness workshops on debt prevention.

The "Otype Initiative" contributed "In Return", enhancing respect and appreciation between students and workers at Qatar University through engaging activities.

It's noteworthy that Izdihar Initiatives and Volunteering Incubator actively supports community initiatives aligned with Qatar Vision 2030 and sustainable development goals, fostering community development in Qatar.
