Doha, Qatar – September 30, 2024

Qatar Charity (QC), as part of its ‘Tayf’ program, which supports and empowers individuals and families in need, launched the ‘Give It Value’ campaign.

The initiative aims to assist the most vulnerable groups and families facing challenging circumstances, furthering Qatar Charity's mission to ensure a dignified life for everyone.

Mr. Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo, CEO's assistant for the Resources Development and Communication sector at Qatar Charity, stated that the campaign offers multiple ways for donations, with over 1,500 in-kind donation containers placed across Qatar, facilitating easy access for donors to contribute. He also highlighted the prominent role played by Qatar’s Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) in supporting this campaign, indicating that this cooperation significantly enhanced the efficiency of fundraising efforts, ensuring aid reaches those in need.

He explained that in-kind donations, such as clothing, household items, and essential supplies, go through a meticulous recycling process, as their condition is assessed to be directly delivered to those most in need.

He highlighted that donors can request special donation bags to be delivered to their homes for collecting in-kind donations, allowing them to contribute to the campaign through the ‘Call and We’ll Come’ service, without leaving their houses. He further mentioned that the donors can also donate by calling the campaign’s numbers (44290000, 44249494, 6699410, and 66999412).

The benefactors can also use the ‘Tayf’ mobile app, and visit the ‘Tayf’ website (https://www.tayf.qa) for a quick and easy donation process, providing everyone with the opportunity to participate in this important humanitarian initiative.

In this context, Mr. Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo highlighted the vital role played by local media and social media influencers in raising awareness about the campaign and encouraging community participation. He elaborated that consistent media coverage, coupled with significant engagement from social media influencers, effectively reaches a broad audience of potential donors, noting that interaction greatly boosts the campaign's ability to collect donations and provide support to families in need in impoverished countries.

As part of the campaign's efforts to raise awareness about the importance of donating and giving, Qatar Charity has distributed donation boxes to students and children as gifts, aiming to encourage their participation in the campaign and instill values of generosity and social solidarity from a young age.

We must also acknowledge the important role that schools play in supporting the ‘Give It Value’ campaign by educating students and their families about the significance of donation and participation in this humanitarian initiative.

Collaboration with various schools will involve organizing internal awareness campaigns and special events to collect in-kind donations from students and their parents. This will contribute to fostering a spirit of mutual support and solidarity within the community from a young age.

In line with its commitment to enhancing humanitarian efforts on an international level, Qatar Charity continues to build strategic partnerships with international organizations and global humanitarian institutions. This collaboration strengthens its ability to deliver aid efficiently and effectively to the most underserved regions.
