Following the ceasefire, the State of Qatar has significantly expanded its leading role in delivering critical humanitarian assistance to people in Gaza. Recognizing the immense suffering caused by the conflict, Qatar's humanitarian response aims to deliver a wide range of aid, contributing to alleviating the suffering of those affected and meeting their essential food, shelter, healthcare, and other needs.
A total of 26 humanitarian projects have been implemented in various sectors, ranging from relief, food, shelter, and non-food items to education and healthcare projects. The total cost of these projects is approximately QR 52 million, reflecting the State of Qatar's commitment to continue providing steadfast support to the Palestinian people.
Through an air, land, and sea bridge, the State of Qatar has delivered substantial humanitarian aid via Jordan to the Gaza Strip. The aid included essential food supplies, tents, and medical assistance, encompassing the establishment of field hospitals, the provision of medications, and the fulfillment of other urgent necessities.
A total of 504 trucks delivered a substantial aid package of food, critical medical supplies, and shelter items. This aid included more than 46,000 food parcels containing essential food items. Additionally, over 20,000 tents were sent to Gaza’s affected residents. The aid also included more than 29,000 antibiotic medicine boxes to assist in treating the injured and ill, as well as nearly 23,000 liters of diesel and 246,000 liters of gasoline.
The aid warehouses in Jordan contain 23,000 flour bags, 36,000 nutrition-packed food parcels, and 250,000 ready-to-meals. Additionally, 10,000 blankets have been sent to protect the affected individuals from the harsh winter. Over 110,000 packages have also been sent for children, including winter clothing, along with portable toilets, medicines, ready-to-eat meals, blankets, and children's essentials.
Seven trucks laden with essential supplies have been dispatched via the West Bank. These shipments delivered over 162 tons of fresh vegetables and 22 tons of frozen chicken, providing urgently needed sustenance for families.
A total of 125 trucks entered Gaza from Egypt, carrying 17,226 food packages, nearly 30,000 ready-to-eat food parcels, as well as large quantities of flour, baby milk, and various types of food for children. Additionally, over 5,000 tents were sent, along with all winter supplies such as blankets, mattresses, children’s clothing, and other essential needs.
These efforts aim to support the daily lives of Palestinians, especially children, who are most affected by harsh weather conditions. They reflect Qatar's ongoing commitment to providing extensive humanitarian support to the Palestinian people.
