Qatar Charity concludes the activities of “Social Media” Forum

To expand the experience exchange between gulf users on social media, QC has organized “QC forum for social media” participated by Qatari and gulf experts and activists. They have agreed that charitable and humanitarian institutions are called upon today more than ever before to catch up with the social media, which has become the first language of communication in the present day, especially for young people

A workshop was organized on the margins of the forum about QC application “Dal ala alkheer” that harnesses technology to be an effective tool for introducing QC humanitarian projects. The application is an innovative tool for the users of social media, which enables them to Donate to Charities Online without spending any money.

 Welcoming Speech

At the beginning of the forum, Mr. Ahmed al Ali, the Director of the Information Department at QC, welcomed the participants and demonstrated the importance of social media and its role in charity work. He pointed out that QC has made a serious effort in this area, especially about social communication that has shown an acceptable level in E-apps and social media.

In his speech, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Yazidi, QC's CEO of Financial Resources, welcomed the participants for traveling all the way to support QC in its business.

Creative Experiences

An adequate explanation was provided by Al Yazidi about Dal ala alkheer” App that aimed at encouraging social media users to participate in charity work by using their pages as an instrument to propagate charity projects.

We invited you to attend this forum to provide more opportunities to exchange experiences with experts, activities and influencers like you in the field of social media, such experiences have led to the mobilization of support for the projects of charities. Al Yazidi added.

  He confirmed that QC keeps abreast of the information revolution and modern technological means employing them in the service of charity work.

The language of Communication

For his part, Sheikh Hassan al-Hussaini, a member of social media at QC, said that social media has become the dominant language, especially against the backdrop of the role of traditional media. The question that we all ask is that what is the effect of charities on social networks users?  The answer to this question is “QC forum for social media” that organized by QC.

Al-Hussaini stressed that QC is a Leading Humanitarian Organization that struggling to keep up with media development and using the latest techniques for the benefit of charitable and humanitarian work. It was honored many times and received four awards.

A real Project

In a speech about the impact of using technology in charitable work, Abdul Aziz Al Hammadi, a Saudi activist in social media said that QC’s project “Dal ala alkheer” is a real project, from which QC has proven its intention to cope with media development and addressing the public by the language of the age. He called gulf humanitarian organization to benefit from QC experience that used social media apps to serve humanitarian objectives.

Social media has demonstrated the ability of gulf youth to deliver assistance and do good deeds for people in need. They have been in the forefront of humanitarian missions, using their experiences in social media, Al Hammadi added. He appreciated the role of QC in this area, by adopting youth talents and supporting charitable initiatives.   

Honoring Participants

With respect to the future of “Dal ala alkheer” project, Ahmed Abdullah, a member of social media at QC said that QC will take new steps beside the previous steps to develop the project and number of media programs that have had a positive impact in mobilizing support for QC project, the latest of which was "Competitors" radio program

A member of social media at QC, Eman al-Kaabi, pointed out that “QC Forum for Social Media” is a crystal-clear proof that QC is keeping abreast with technology development, explaining that people can donate for QC and get acquainted with all QC projects by using its E-apps.

At the end of the forum, the influencers in social networks were honored for their role in investing their capabilities in serving humanitarian work, disseminating the culture of charity work, and increasing community participation in humanitarian and charitable work.
