Qatar Charity Launches its campaign “Positive Society”

In its third edition, the campaign has awarded a number of HMC officials, aiming at highlighting the role that state institutions play for the development of the nation.


Honoring :

On behalf of Qatar Charity, Mr. Farid Saddiqi, head of social programs, presented honor shields and gratitude certificates to a number of HMC officials including: Dr.Abdulatif Muhammed Al khal – Director of Development of Physicians, Dr. Wafaa Salah Al Yazidi - Head of Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Medicine, and Mrs. Aysha Al Khayareen - Director of Nursing and Rehabilitation at Muaither Complex for Care and Rehabilitation.

At the honorary reception, Mrs. Badrya Al Yaqoot – Head of donation department in QC- pointed out to the importance of the projects and achievements that state institutions have accomplished over the past recent years. Mrs. Al Yawqoot also praised the previous two editions of “Positive Society” by Qatar Charity, as the first one had introduced Qatar Charity as humanitarian and developmental institution, while the second one had highlighted the role of ministry of education and high education as well as the most influential Qatari females who contribute in supporting People with Special Needs and promoting their cause in the Qatari society.


Developing healthcare:

Director of Development of Physicians in HMC , Dr.Abdulatif Muhammed Al khal has briefed the audience about the services that Hamad Medical Corporation provides, as well as the latest medical technologies that are used to improve the quality of medical services in the country.  Dr. Al Khal also praised Qatar’s efforts to promote and develop healthcare sector, and ensuring to meet the latest International medical standards. 

He noted that Hamad Medical Corporation consists of 10 public and specialty hospitals, as well as homecare and ambulance services.
In his speech, Al-Khall focused on the mechanism adopted by the HMC to prepare future doctors and provide them with continuing vocational medical education. He pointed out that in order to develop and nurture future doctors, HMC has established specialized medical training programs.

Rehabilitation:

 

Dr. Wafa Saleh Al-Zubaidi, Head of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Medicine Department, explained that the administration offers a number of rehabilitation programs and a comprehensive range of services for the medical and rehabilitation management of patients suffering from physical, mental, psychological and social disabilities or patients suffering from neurological diseases. Dr. Al Zubaidi stated that HMC mission is  to achieve an international status as a center of excellence in the provision of health care, physiotherapy and rehabilitation services.

She stated that the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Medicine is working to guide the patients’ therapeutic path and facilitate the stages of their improvement to enable them to reach their maximum abilities at a physical, psychological and social levels. Dr. Al Zubaidi added that the interaction of society is a necessity and a motivation, as it encourages the effectiveness of the provided services.

 

Mrs. Aisha Al-Khayarin, Director of Nursing and Rehabilitation at Muaither Care and Rehabilitation Complex, concluded by addressing the importance of nursing in healthcare system. She emphasized on the role that nurses play in the healthcare system through their constant medical invention when and where needed.
