Qatar Charity’s “One Heart” delivers winter assistance to Syrian refugees in Jordan

Qatar Charity (QC), through its Jordan office, distributed a new batch of winter assistance, including food vouchers, fuel, and blankets, to Syrian refugees and the host community members in Jordan.

This assistance aims to alleviate the humanitarian suffering of the beneficiaries facing tough living conditions, particularly in the harsh winter environment. The aid is expected to benefit around 30,000 people.

This aid is part of the “One Heart’ winter campaign launched by Qatar Charity to deliver assistance to those in need, especially those affected by disasters and crises.

Mr. Saleh Al-Marri, the General Supervisor of Qatar Charity's office in Jordan, stated that 3,500 fuel vouchers worth QR 925,000 were distributed to the beneficiary families, and approximately 17,500 individuals are expected to benefit from them. He added that the number of the recently distributed food vouchers is 2,450 vouchers valued at QR 580,000, and these vouchers are anticipated to benefit approximately 12,250 recipients.  He also mentioned that the distributed blankets total 180, valued at QR 12,000, and were distributed in various governorates across Jordan.

Al-Marri stated that, as the Blessed month of Ramadan is approaching, the office is currently preparing the Ramadan assistance, which will include food vouchers, Eid clothing, and Zakat al-Fitr, aiming to meet the essential needs of underprivileged families in the holy month.

It is worth mentioning that the Qatar Charity’s Jordan office has been working since 2021, in coordination with the relevant government bodies, in various sectors, including social care, relief, development.
